2019 IHOP Free Pancake Day – A Yummy Success!

IHOP celebrated its annual Free Pancake Day together with UNM Children’s Hospital on March 12th! Every pancake served helped the 66,000 patients treated annually at UNMCH, the only children’s hospital in the state of New Mexico. The hospital serves, on average, 1 patient every 2.5 minutes, so during this year’s 12-hour pancake drive alone, 280 kids sought medical treatment in our hospital.

We greatly appreciate our awesome partner IHOP for serving a total of 10,842 pancakes on that single day, raising $8,774.65 for special equipment, supplies and programs like Child Life. Child Life provides significant support to our patients and families during their stay at our hospital to improve our patients’ and their family’s health care experience and support child development in UNM Children’s Hospital.
