Local Walmart and Sam’s Club stores raise money for UNM Children’s Hospital.

Local Walmart and Sam’s Club stores are once again joining forces to raise money for UNM Children’s Hospital during the annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaign. Last year, Walmart and Sam’s Club passed the $1 billion fundraising mark for CMN Hospitals in the U.S. and Canada, the largest amount raised for a nonprofit.

The 2018 campaign raised $454,399 for UNM Children’s Hospital! Money raised at Walmart and Sam’s Club stores goes directly to benefit the sick and injured kids treated at UNM Children’s Hospital. Funds are used to pay for equipment, supplies, and special programs like Child Life.

This year’s register campaign runs from June 10th to July 7th. Customers and members can conveniently donate $1 or more when they check out at any Walmart or Sam’s Club location in New Mexico and Southern Colorado! Associates also fundraise in other ways including bake sales, in-store contests and events.

Walmart stores celebrated the start of their campaign at the UNM Children’s Hospital on Pete’s Playground! They created Beads of Courage to wear during their campaign in honor of our patients. Check out the pictures below!

Customers and members can help spread the word about the campaign via social media using the hashtag #HelpKidsLiveBetter
